Located in northwest corner of Crawford County Wisconsin, Clayton Township is bordered by Richland County to the east and Vernon County to the north. Our hilly landscape is known as the “driftless” region, meaning this area was never scoured flat by glaciers. Many natural springs and trout filled streams meander through the valleys, and the ridgetops offer beautiful views of the terrain.
Soldiers Grove and Gays Mills offer commercial shopping districts, as well as seasonal festivals. The North Crawford Kindergarten through High School is located between these two villages. Our rural community is known for being good neighbors. The Clayton Town Shop and Town Hall are located on US Highway 61, just south of Soldiers Grove. Open by appointment only.
